20 - 26 June (week 25)

We enjoyed cosmic kids yoga again this week - we watched and joined in with Jaime making a routine for an astronaut who is aboard the international space station and then visiting the European space agency. 

We did some more pages from the telling the time activity book.

At communigrow we learned about herbs, what some herbs can be used for and went and looked at (and smelled!) different herbs in the field. The children collected the ones they liked then they made their own herbal tea infusion and a herb bath soak. Vin really liked the lemonbalm and enjoyed having his special bath that evening.

We got some more library books and story sacks and had fun with those.

Vin chose a mountain animal themed wild workout.

Vin did some handwriting practice writing out the names of various fruits and vegetables in french.

We started the "Wild weather" topic on mystery science which we have done before but it has other activities now and it was quite a few years ago. We learned about the ways people prepare for storms in different places and different types of storms. 

We read about sea creatures and water vehicles and did some writing and quizzes.

 

Vin had a go at a few maths activities on the Khan academy website.
