26 July - 1 August 2021 (week 30)
This week we had a couple of nice days out. We went to Greatstone, Littlestone and Dungeness. We walked along the shore, played on the beach, had a picnic and read comics. We used the google lens app to identify some sea kale and some beach rose. Sea kale is edible but the leaves looked pretty big and tough so we didn't try any! We also saw a butterfly that we think might be a clouded yellow.
We harvested LOADS of beans this week, so lots of healthy vegetables have been eaten!
We also went to Blackberry Farm. Vin had a nice time feeding the goats and alpacas and playing loads in the play areas and obstacle courses.
Vin and his dad went for a ride on the Spa Valley railway too.
Vin saw a book he liked that was recommended in the Phoenix comic so we looked it up and the library didn't have it. We checked the e-library and it didn't have it either but said we could recommend it to be bought. The very next day they had a copy of it! Vin wasted no time in reading it at once.
We also saw an offer to order some back issues of the Aquila magazine. We ordered a few and Vin has so far enjoyed reading the Ancient Egypt one and the Ice Age issue.
