We're having a bit of a quieter time at the moment as it's nice weather and friends are not at school. We're still having lots of fun though.
Vin was in charge of watering a friend's garden while they went away. He did a good job.
We've played at the playground with friends and done some geocaching.
Vin made some patterns and decided to try and make some nets for 3D shapes.
We went and looked at lots of rocks that are local to us.
We did a "Mystery Science" about where rivers go to and come from. This led to us looking at a map and finding out where the biggest river near us is, where it starts and where it goes. We looked at weather maps too. We did the associated reading and quizzes from the links on mystery science.
We've got loads of story sacks from the library. We had a lot of fun with the "animal boogie" story sack, playing with the puppets and singing the song and doing the quiz questions. Vin liked playing with all the vehicles and making up his own stories with the "Journey home from Grandpa's house" sack. We enjoyed playing the "pigs in pants" board game and reading the stories from the "Pants and Knickers" story sack.
We played the magnetic fishing game we made ages ago when Vin found it in one of his tins!
A friend picked up a couple of activity sheets for Vinnie from a day out they'd had.
Vinnie completed the "Space Chase" library challenge.
We got a really BIG 100 piece jigsaw to do with lots of ocean creatures on it.
We got out our divers and sea animals lego and built it and made up adventures.
And lots of other stuff that I keep forgetting to make a note of! Lots of reading, days out, building things, imagining and so much learning.
