A Cornish Adventure!
Last week we went on holiday to Cornwall.
On the drive there we saw Stone Henge!

We got Vinnie a Numberblocks comics as he really likes the Numberblocks TV show. There were some stackable number block characters with it which he played with loads over the week! They were really great as he was naturally adding them together while he played like they do on the show. He had fun making up his own stories with them.

We visited an old tin and copper mine as we were staying right near where all the old tin mining was done. We all agreed we would not want to have been miners.
We found a nice playground in Penzance that Vin had a lot of fun playing in!

We went on a boat across to St Michael's Mount.

At low tides you can actually walk across to it. We went around the grand house on the top of the hill and Vin did the treasure trail to collect a medal at the end.

The beach near where we stayed was covered in Portuguese Man-o-war. We learned they are called hydrozoids not a type of jellyfish. They were really weird looking!

We visited the Lappa Valley steam railway. Vin loved it.

Al taught Vinnie how to play monopoly and chess. Vinnie used his toy Knight for one of his knights.

We saw a stone circle called the Merry Maidens. There were 19 stones in the circle, and 2 slightly outside. We thought that was an unusual number.

We visited Trengwaiten gardens. It was raining so the tropical surroundings felt a bit like a steamy rainforest.

We visited a Seal sanctuary. Vin loved seeing the animals up close.

We did another quiz, and received another medal ;)

We also visited beaches, played lots of games and had a nice relaxing time. We saw some rare birds and interesting wildlife. Best of all was being able to learn wherever we were, about whatever caught our interest. Seeing the other little children heading off to school over the past few weeks has really made me appreciate being able to do this style of education for our family. It definitely seems to be a good fit for us so far!
