It has been a "light" themed couple of weeks! As well as an assortment of other things too. Our Guy met his end on our mini bonfire for Guy Fawkes night, along with a few fireworks. Vin independently came up with some craft ideas, he is finding the new scissors so much better and is a bit more confident. He made a laser for his box and made it into a star wars spaceship, a few days later he used some other packing material and taped it on for hair and drew other features and made a robot head. Another day, completely on his own, he drew some dino pictures with his templates, cut them out and stuck lolly sticks on the back to make puppets. It's fun to see what ideas he comes up with. Vin has wanted to try a Dragon fruit for ages! We finally found one to buy and try. We made our predictions before cutting it, what did we think it would look like inside? How would it taste? We were all way off! (it tasted a bit like kiwi) We used some foam modelling clay to make some Halloween monsters We built the Labo piano, Vin was so inventive and used the leftover little pieces to make a picture. It is a city, with power lines. The ninja turtles had some fun practicing writing numbers Vin did some great drawing in his How to draw Ninjago characters book Vin invented some very interesting lego creations. He is really enjoying colouring at the moment. He has done a LOT! We've had fun with magnetic tiles Vin's read steam train books at the Second hand book shop at Scotney Castle (again! Is this the 3rd or 4th time now?!) We drew our own autumn leaves, cut them out, and used them to make pretty autumn lantern decorations. We made gloopy hallow...
