Spooky Halloween fun! 12th October - 28th October 2018
Vin has wanted to try a Dragon fruit for ages! We finally found one to buy and try. We made our predictions before cutting it, what did we think it would look like inside? How would it taste? We were all way off! (it tasted a bit like kiwi)

We used some foam modelling clay to make some Halloween monsters

We built the Labo piano, Vin was so inventive and used the leftover little pieces to make a picture. It is a city, with power lines.

The ninja turtles had some fun practicing writing numbers

Vin did some great drawing in his How to draw Ninjago characters book

Vin invented some very interesting lego creations.

He is really enjoying colouring at the moment. He has done a LOT!

We've had fun with magnetic tiles

Vin's read steam train books at the Second hand book shop at Scotney Castle (again! Is this the 3rd or 4th time now?!)

We drew our own autumn leaves, cut them out, and used them to make pretty autumn lantern decorations.

We made gloopy halloween slime with googly eyes in!

We read the poem "The Hunting of the Snark" by Lewis Carroll. We imagined and drew what we thought the snark may look like.

Vin made awesome sand sculptures with his friend

And a huge pile of leaves, and then kicked it all down!

Vin drew a terrifying halloween monster!

We had fun at a halloween party. Vin decorated a cake, made a spider, coloured a mask and pulled lots of monstery faces.

We did a trail round the house at Scotney Castle solving clues to make a picture. And ran around the garden on a quest to find the prettiest autumn leaves.

We made a Guy Fawkes to go on the bonfire. Vin helped sew up the legs on some old trousers, and helped stuff it with newspapers. He made a scary face to go on the head. He's a bit scary! Perfect for Halloween as well as Bonfire night.

Plus lots of drawing, colouring, lego, writing a letter to the tooth mouse and reading a billion story books!
