24 - 30 January 2022 (week 4)
This week we went on a few walks including finding a few geocaches! It's been a while since we looked for any. While out walking we saw someone had decorated their front step with "Happy Pongal!". We looked up what Pongal was and found out it is a Hindu harvest festival. We also walked through the orchards and saw all the trees and looked at how they trimmed some of them into specific shapes, some were cut right back so they had a lot of branches and some were trained along wires. We built a new Lego boost model and spent quite a lot of time building different bits for it and programming the different things and experimenting. We read a book called "Remainder of One" together and did the maths along with the story and talked about how you could divide numbers by other numbers but if they don't divide exactly there are some left over.
