Vin's Learning Journey

 We looked at some more types of charts this week - we learned to draw and interpret pictograms for displaying data. We made sure to include a key so we knew what each symbol on the pictogram represented. We practiced making different types of charts in the maths activity book. We talked about different emotions and big feelings and ways to cope with them. We made ourselves some toolboxes filled with tools that we had decorated and written things that help us feel better. Vinnie practiced his handwriting and did a page from his comprehension book - he read the story aloud and then we answered the questions together and vinnie did some lovely joined up writing. He did some pages from the other English activity books on other days too and finished the comprehension and spelling, punctuation and grammar ones. We made more perler bead pictures, vinnie came up with a picture without using a pattern. We did experiments with bubbles from the letterbox lab. It soon just became a big bubble...

 We had a quieter week mainly focussing on maths and writing. We learned a bit about statistics and effective ways to collect and display data using tally charts, tables and block charts.  Vinnie did some handwriting practice and spelling and comprehension activities. We invited some friends round and spent a nice afternoon making fuse bead crafts. Vinnie is really into Sonic the Hedgehog right now so liked making some sonic pictures! Vinnie and his dad made pasties together.
